Pro Mach names new Vice President and General Manager of Axon LLC

Loveland, OH - Pro Mach, a leading provider of packaging line solutions and equipment, announces, effective August 3, 2009, the appointment of Brad Wegner as Vice President and General Manager of its Axon LLC, division, a manufacturer of fully automated, heat-shrink labeling, tamper evident banding, and stretch sleeving equipment located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mr. Wegner, while serving as Director of Business Development, from 2005 to July, 2009, was instrumental in driving the process for the eight acquisitions Pro Mach has made since 2005. These acquisitions include the Robocaser product of robotic case packing solutions; the Mahaffy & Harder Company, a leading provider of horizontal thermoform, fill, seal and tray sealing packaging equipment; Allpax Products, a manufacturer of retort solutions; Currie Machinery Company, a conventional palletizing equipment manufacturer; the Glennon Group, a labeling, marking and packaging solutions provider for the Midwestern U.S.; Markor Marking and Labeling Systems, an identification products and services company serving the Western U.S.; Labeling Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of turnkey pressure sensitive labeling equipment; and IPAK Machinery Ltd., a manufacturer of corrugated tray forming solutions.
Prior to joining Pro Mach in 2005, Mr. Wegner was involved in international merchant banking project finance and project development principally in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Mr. Wegner was awarded the MBA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia.
