Shuttleworth Celebrates 55 Year Anniversary of Product Handling Solutions
HUNTINGTON, IN (January 6, 2017) – 2017 marks a major milestone for Shuttleworth LLC, a premier manufacturer of product handling solutions, as the company celebrates its 55th anniversary. Shuttleworth has grown from a small machinery company to an internationally recognized supplier of integrated conveyor systems.
The company opened its doors in 1962 when founder Jim Shuttleworth purchased the machinery portion of the company from his father, Charles, and moved the operations to Huntington, Indiana. Shuttleworth’s pioneering Slip-Torque® technology revolutionized the industry and played a huge role in the company’s success. During the past 55 years, Shuttleworth has built a reputation of excellence in providing its customers with innovative product applications for a variety of industries including automotive, consumer goods, electronics, food, healthcare/pharmaceutical, paper, and solar.
“We’re proud to continue the Shuttleworth legacy and to evolve Jim Shuttleworth’s entrepreneurial spirit here at Shuttleworth,” stated Ken Tinnell, vice president and general manager of Shuttleworth. “We will continue to reinforce our long-standing commitment to our products and our customers through innovation, quality and value.”
