New Integrity Horizontal Form Fill Seal Machine Delivers a New Level of Performance

Date: April 12, 2011

Rocky Mount, NC - Ossid, a division of Pro Mach, introduced today a new horizontal form-fill-seal machine that is rated at 10 to 15 cycles per minute (CPM), is scheduled to meet USDA meat, poultry, dairy, and 3-A Sanitary Standards, complies with PackML, and may be customized for customer specific applications. The new Ossid Integrity horizontal form-fill-seal machine will have its first public demonstration at the 2011 AMI International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and Expo, April 13-16, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Booth # 3013.

"We've built the Integrity horizontal form-fill-seal machine from the ground up to be the ideal price/performance platform for the 10-15 CPM segment of the market," said Ernie Newell, vice president and general manager, Ossid. "Customers will find the unit exceptional as is. They will also discover that its modular design accommodates application customization in terms of mechanics, control, and communication and that it meets customer requirements in the areas of production, sanitation, quality control, and maintenance."

The Integrity horizontal form-fill-seal machine will be available in web widths of 320, 355, 420, and 459 mm respectively and indexes of up to 600 mm. The base unit comes with servo-driven clip chain drive and pneumatic presses. Complete electric systems are available. The pneumatic system is mounted with "rain" protection, and the small electrical cabinet provides for smaller overall machine footprint and easy access to tooling and maintenance.

PackML compliance means faster integration and easier changes and maintenance of the control program. Ethernet connectivity plus an intuitive operator interface with embedded documentation and troubleshooting information are standard features. For fast, effective technical support, the Integrity horizontal form-fill-seal machine offers remote diagnostics via web browser.

The machine was designed for easy cleaning with door panels on all sides that can be tilted as well as removed, sloped tops, guards, covers, limited high surfaces, and welded frame members to limit overlapping junctions. Integrity is scheduled to meet USDA meat, poultry, dairy, and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
